Anyway, aku mau share my new baby, the 88 warm palette.... ta daaa....
in artificial light Ceritanya, suatu hari, seorang klien minta dibantuin make up buat bikin film pendek, dan dia request make upnya yang natural aja. saat itu, aku baru sadar kalo aku ga punya eyeshadow warna netraaall... hahahahaha...
well, ada siihh.. tapi cuma quad2 kecil dan most of it shimmer
So.. jadilah aku searching2 cari palet netral (alesaaaann... ^^)
Aku nyari palet netral yang punya banyak range warna (biar bisa cocok for all skin tone), preferably matte, dan yang jelas affordable alias ga mahal2 banget laaahhh
pilihan nya mulai dari UD naked (mahaaaaallll....), NYX nude on nude (harus nunggu PO), atau palet2 dari coastal scents, atau apalah yang punya cukup banyak warna ^^
Lucky me, aku nemuin di kaskus, ada seller yang lagi sale beberapa paletnya, dan si baby ini termasuk sale. I got it for IDR 200.000, brand new and ready stock! OMG! I can't believe it.
Setelah ngobrol sama penjualnya, dia bahkan mau kasih diskon ongkir lagi, jadinya all 210rebu sampe rumahku. lumayan kaaaannn... ^^
Hmmm... memang sih ga ada logo coastal scents-nya. Lagi2 nemu seller yang bilang dia ngambil dari pabrik yang sama dengan si CS. Sebenernya agak ragu, tapi mengingat pengalaman dulu sama my 120 palette yang juga ga berlogo CS tapi kualitasnya sampe hari ini masih OK, akhirnya aku beli aja si palet ini.
Soo.. ini dia my 88 warm palette... enjoy ^^

Katanya sih warm colors, tapi menurutku ga semuanya warm, mungkin lebih tepatnya disebut neutral kali yaaa... karena ada beberapa yang warnanya agak cool, seperti beberapa abu2 dan warna2 agak biru pun ada di sini.
What I hate most with this palette is packagingnyaaaa....
It comes in glossy finish, which looks good at first, tapi ternyataaaa.... bikin fingerprints jadi nempel2, debu2 dan kotoran juga gampang nempel dan bikin ga kinclong lagi.

Yang lebih parah, karena si seller ini nge-wrap dengan super hati2 dan berlapis2 (you can see the bubble wraps in above pic), dia bahkan kasih selotip di pinggir2 paletnya. trus, aku ceritanya pengen bersihin si bekas selotip pake minyak kayu putih, tapi ternyata, clumsy me, minyak kayu putihnya beleber ke permukaan palet, dan akhirnya bikin noda yang iyeeukkkkhhh... dan ga bisa dibenerin lagii :(
tuh liat, jadi keliatan jorok banget kan?Aku dah coba dibersihin ulang pake baby oil, minyak zaitun, remover, dkk tetep aja ga bisa balik kinclong seperti asalnya.
Ya sutralah, aku menyerah, akhirnya kutempelin stiker ajaaa... sekalian biar beda sama palet2 punya orang ^^

Nemunya cuma stiker warna itu. tapi lumayan cantik kan? aku berpikir mungkin mau ditambahin dekorasi lain lagi kapan2 ^^
Oh iya, glossy cover ini juga bikin palet ini agak licin, so I'm thinking mau ditempelin sesuatu di bagian bawahnya biar ga terlalu licin lagi.
Oh iya, ternyata si palet ini juga ukurannya beda sama 120 palette ku yang dulu. Yang ini lebih gede dikit, liat aja di gambar ini:

Plus:
- Lots of colors (ya iya lahh), in neutral range
- Comes in matte and shimmer finish
- Lots of highlight colors juga, jadi banyak pilihan
- Some colors are perfect to fill in your eyebrows
- The variation is endless, you can make neutral or smokey too
- Has some intense colors too like gold and burgundy
Minus:
- Hate the glossy cover (but I can handle it ^^)
- Small, even smaller than 12o palette
- Some colors are less pigmented than others (see the swatch)
Overall...
If you're looking for neutral palette, this is an alternative. Of course it didn't come with lipsticks like UD naked or NYX nude on nude, but it has more colors than those two palette, which I love because now I can do neutral make up for all skin tone, from fair to dark, and you can add some twist too since it has colors like gold, plum, and burgundy. It's great for nude look, but you can also create dramatic smokey look too. Overall, I think it's a great addition in your make up collection.
Repurchase?
Not this one, It'll last forever ^^. But definitely will try another palette. I'm thinking blush palette maybe?

As you can see, some colors didn't show up in my skin. I'm around NC30-35. But I think those colors might be great on other skin tone.

A on lid, B near the nose, C in crease, D on outer V, E in inner eye, and F in browbone
The second look is kinda neutral matte, very simple
I use basically the same mix, but instead inez, I use the crease color for fill my eyebrow
